The historic Newtown Theatre is teaming up with popular Philadelphia jazz artist Hailey Brinnel on a new series of jazz concerts titled “Hailey Brinnel Presents.”
The first concert – “Hailey Brinnel Presents: Swingin’ the 70s – will be Friday, February 21 and feature original jazz arrangements of songs by top 1970s artists like The Carpenters, Bee Gees, Elton John, and others.
Joining Brinnel on the Newtown stage will be her regular bassist and pianist along with guest drummer Sherrie Maricle and guest trumpeter Kellin Hanas.
TICKET POLICIES
Any tickets not sold before the show will be available at the door for $47.
You can present a hard copy of your tickets or the QR code on your phone.
Members may not purchase tickets for non-members. Anyone with a member ticket will be asked to present a valid membership card at the door.
All ticket sales are final. Please be aware of what event you are buying tickets for. Refunds or ticket exchanges will not be offered. If you can't attend, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else.

CONCERT DETAILS
Doors open at 7 PM and the concert starts at 8 PM.
Seating is first come, first served. We recommend arriving early if you would like to secure your favorite seats.
Beer, wine and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the show.
Free parking is available along North State Street, in the municipal lot between Washington and Centre Avenue, and in the municipal lot next to Newtown Borough Hall (23 North State Street).
We have a wheelchair lift on our front porch and an accessible restroom on the first floor. There are no steps to climb to access the first floor of the auditorium. There are steps to the balcony.
About Hailey Brinnel
Brinnel is a jazz vocalist and trombonist who has played the Newtown Theatre several times in recent years to rave reviews and standing ovations. In 2023, she premiered her latest album, Beautiful Tomorrow, on the Newtown Theatre stage.
Brinnel’s debut album, I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles, peaked at #13 on Amazon’s ‘Jazz New Release’ chart, and #44 on the website’s Jazz Best-Seller chart. Her music is firmly rooted in jazz tradition, arranged such that the energy is preserved but new life is breathed into it.
